“This was my first year coordinating the Car and Bike Show,” said Tanya Johnson, event coordinator. “I had a lot of fun. There were some very beautiful vehicles on display and everyone had a great time.” The Chief’s Choice was a 1955 Studebaker, owned by Bobby Cauthon. A 1955 Chevy owned by Wayne Jones was the Speaker of the Council’s Choice. The Mayor’s Choice award went to a 1970 Chevelle owned by Marty Ward. Jim Robinson’s 1967 Chevelle received the Chief of Police’s Choice award and the People’s Choice was a 1949 GMC Pickup owned by Devlin Osmon. The Show Director’s Grand Choice was awarded to a 1957 Chevy owned by Tandy Thomas. The award for Best Paint was presented to Jim Robinson’s 1967 Chevy SS. The Best Interior award was given to a 1957 Chevy owned by Tandy Thomas. Gene Whisenhunt’s 1969 Camero was named Best Engine. The Best Car award was presented to Ronnie Brewer’s 1932 two-door Sedan with trailer. Devlin Osmon’s 1949 GMC Pickup was voted Best Truck and a Harley Davidson Road King owned by Ron Robbins was named Best Motorcycle. The Best of Show award was presented to Don Johnson’s 1926 T Bucket. In the Original category, first place was awarded to a 1957 Chevy owned by David Foss. Second place went to Jim Liner’s 1965 Ford and third place was given to Marty Ward’s 1970 Chevelle. A 1932 Ford Zipper was awarded first place in the Modified division. Second place was presented to a 1931 Ford owned by Kenneth Deatherage and third place went to a 1940 Chevy owned by Ron Giles. In the Unfinished category, Trey Scarsdale’s 1974 Blazer was awarded first place. Second place went to Wiley Hall’s 1948 Chevy and third place was presented to David Carter’s 1940 Ford. Devlin Osmon’s 2002 Ironhorse Chopper received first place in the Motorcycle division. A Honda owned by Michael Cathey placed second and Randall Dozhier’s Heritage Sofetail placed third. “I want to thank everyone who came and helped make this year’s Car and Bike Show a great success. I hope that everyone comes out and joins us again next year,” said Johnson. |
