TAHLEQUAH, OK - The Cherokee Nation recently held a 5K Run in conjunction with the 56th Annual Cherokee National Holiday over Labor Day weekend in Tahlequah. “This year, we had 265 runners take part,” said Sherry Parks, event coordinator. “I really appreciate the participation from the community.” The overall male winner was Ozzy Loera of Weslaco, Texas and the overall female winner was Shannon Miles of Claremore. I congratulate the winners and encourage everyone to join us again next year,” said Parks.
