TAHLEQUAH, OK - To better meet the needs of Cherokee Nation citizens,
the Cherokee Nation tribal tag office in Tahlequah will extend its hours
of operation every Tuesday and Thursday, effective immediately.
The office will now be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. The Tahlequah tag office is located at 17675 S. Muskogee, in the old motel building behind the Restaurant of the Cherokees, in room 118. Cherokee Nation’s tag offices provide Cherokee Nation citizens living in the 14-county jurisdictional area of the tribe the opportunity to purchase tribal motor vehicle tags. A portion of the revenue from each tag sold is contributed annually to area school districts. During the past five years, since the tribal motor vehicle tag program began, the Cherokee Nation has contributed more than $13 million to help schools in its 14-county tribal service jurisdiction. The hours for Cherokee Nation’s Collinsville, Adair and Gore tag offices will not be affected and they will remain open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about the Tahlequah area Cherokee Nation Tag Office phone: 918-453-5100. |
